An Oldie but a Goodie.

Our Story

We first met at my younger cousin - Mishie’s sweet sixteen in May 2015. Jack, a good friend of my other cousin Joe (Mishie’s older brother), attended the party as a last-minute guest - I was there with my whole family.

Jack spent the party taking advantage of the open bar, tearing up the dance floor, and charming my aunts & uncles with stories of his upcoming travels and internship. During the party, my Uncle Ed jokingly pointed out to that Jack was the kind of guy I should be dating. I rolled my eyes.

Jack made an impression and we exchanged numbers. We kept in touch for the summer casually while I was abroad in Oxford and Jack was interning in London. We started talking daily in the fall while Jack was studying abroad in Budapest & Macy was back at Clemson.

There were FaceTimes over the Mets playoffs, Lip Sync battles with my college roommates and almost daily photos of Jack’s cooking and travels. We spoke with much anticipation for the holidays together in December 2015.

Just before Jack returned home from the semester in Budapest, I had the crazy idea to reach out to Jack’s father and ask if I could join their family at the airport to surprise Jack upon his return!

I spent a few hours with the Bauers before Jack landed, took the dreadful holiday-traffic-filled ride to JFK and laughed the whole way. We surprised a jet-lagged Jack Bauer successfully.

And long story long, we’ve been together ever since.

Nearly 10 years, 2 college degrees, 15 jobs at 5 companies (Jack has only worked at 1 company), 6 apartments, a global pandemic, 97 wine dinners, 437 board games, and countless epic adventures later - this decade has been everything we could ever imagine and so much more.

We can’t wait to get married.
